Description
Hiding in a box were five copies of my original 1997 music CD “Baby Sea Robot”. Although the original was commercially released in Japan in 1997 by Interlink and distributed by SonyMedia, A year or two later I decided to make some of my own versions at home. I don’t remember why. Probably I was not given many copies of the SonyMedia version, and I wanted to make copies to sell or give to my friends and fans in the US.
I made an edition of these printing the artwork with an inkjet printer, and even printing on a sticker that covered the front of the CD-R. This is a very rare item. I probably originally made about 10. You can listen to the music and buy the digital music on my Bandcamp.com page where you can also read a description of this album. The cover is hand signed “Rodney 2009” probably for another website sale. Also included inside are the original stickers from the Japanese release. The jewel cases are in excellent condition and are individually wrapped in a plastic envelope.
I made the music to BSR in 1996, the same year Parappa the Rapper came out. The game was a big success, and maybe I imagined I could stretch my fame into the world of experimental pop that was starting to grow in Tokyo. Unfortunately it did not work out that way for BSR. Even so listening to it now is a lot of fun.
